Montpelier Visitors Center
James Madison's Montpelier in Progress
Montpelier is the home of James and Dolley Madison. In May of 2005 The Montpelier Foundation broke ground on a new Visitors Center which will house a variety of orientation and historical exhibits, with the goal of introducing visitors to both the estate and to Madison's significant role in the history of the United States.
Shown are a few examples from the conceptual development phase of the design process, exploring possible exhibit components and visitor flow through the space.
