James Madison:
Secretary of State in an Age of Expansion and Exploration
James Madison's Montpelier
1.2003
As part of the national commemoration of the Lewis & Clark Expedition, James Madison's Montpelier presented this year-long exhibit. The exhibit presented sufficient information for the most scholarly visitor, and also featured information at a kid's-eye level and "Fun Facts" to engage and enlighten younger visitors as well.
Design 3 designed the components, managed the fabrication and installed the exhibit, including the "Madison River" with its "headwaters" behind the primary panels and its termination at the background mural with a "canoe" that provided a photo opportunity for visitors.
